Acoustic/Electric Guitar

My name is Richard Ellis. I'm a guitar player/teacher from New Orleans. I';ve been steeped in the New Orleans music scene for over 20years until moving up to Longmont. I've been teaching for the past 5years after studying music at the University of New Orleans and taking private instruction from the great Hank Mackie and Steve Masakowski. I teach both electric and acoustic in the styles of heavy rock, blues, folk, country, beginners jazz, acoustic fingerstyle (not classical). I teach beginners to experienced players from children to adult. I teach the basics in music theory (reading, scale and chord theory, improvisation) by applying it when teaching your favorite songs.
